Every device counts. We do the maths.
Most of a smartphone's emissions are created before it is ever used. That's why every device we bring back to market counts.
Use longer, less CO₂ per year
A smartphone creates most of its emissions in production. The longer it's used, the smaller the share per year.
Calculation: 45.1 kg CO₂e from production, transport and end of life, spread over the years of use, plus 3.3 kg CO₂e charging per year (18% of 55 kg over three years). Based on Apple, iPhone 17 Product Environmental Report (09/2025). Indicative values.

What's in your batch?
Move the slider to the number of smartphones in your batch. We calculate with current manufacturer data and a 2026 study.
Calculation: approx. 42 kg CO₂e production emissions per device (77% of 55 kg, Apple iPhone 17, 09/2025). Each resold device replaces on average 0.40 new devices (Amatuni et al., Communications Earth & Environment, 01/2026). Indicative values, not a certification.
Figures from 2025 and 2026
Total footprint of a new iPhone 17 (256 GB), around 77% of it from production
of e-waste per person was collected in the EU in 2023, against 32.2 kg of new electronics sold
lower annual carbon footprint when buying second-hand smartphones
